Fulham vs Chelsea LIVE: Result and reaction from Premier League fixture today

Fulham welcome local rivals Chelsea to Craven Cottage after discovering form with five successive draws to boost their hopes of survival in the Premier League.

The Blues on the other hand are desperately searching for points with Frank Lampard under pressure as they drop off the pace in the battle to secure a top four finish and qualification for the Champions League. Chelsea were soundly beaten by Man City last time out, while Scott Parker’s side held Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham midweek to further bolster their confidence, with the gap to safety cut to two points entering this weekend.

Fulham have been contending with schedule changes, with Parker bemoaning the situation, and his opposite number and former teammate is also upset with the authorities. "The Fulham game changing from Friday to Saturday at the front end didn't make a difference to us too much," said Lampard. “We had a week to prepare for it and I understand why Scott (Parker) would have had his feelings about it. I think it probably suited them to get that game done.”

“My feeling is that our time between Fulham and Leicester is even tighter and my biggest gripe as manager of Chelsea Football Club is that nobody came to help us when we played two games on the 26th and the 28th over Christmas, when it clearly could have been moved. So the schedule couldn't be moved over Christmas but it can be moved now because we are fighting against Covid.”
