GameAccount Network chairman buys in braving share price decline

LONDON (ShareCast) - In a show of confidence in the group the chairman of GameAccount Network (LSE: GAME.L - news) bought some stock on Thursday, braving a share price drop after the company reported a 38.6% decline in its full-year revenues. David O'Reilly bought 100,000 shares for 38p each, spending a total of £38,000 in the purchase.

Following the transaction, O'Reilly held 2.36m shares in the group, representing a 4.23% stake in the company's total issued share capital.

The group posts a loss before tax of £2.6m against profit of £1.6m the year before, while revenues fell 38.6% to £7.5m.

Chief executive Dermot Smurfit said that 2014 was an year of investments in the group.

He added: "We remain confident in our ability to continue to deliver on sales of our gaming system to casino equipment manufacturers although the timing of such sales remains uncertain."
