Geomni Achieves Widespread Aerial Imagery Coverage of Parcels and Structures in the United States

Quality plus coverage is driving better property-related decisions, says Geomni president

Lehi, Utah, May 24, 2018 - Professionals across a range of industries are now able to access detailed information about almost any parcel or structure in the United States, and that`s dramatically improving the way they work with property, according to Geomni president Jeffrey C. Taylor. Geomni is a Verisk business (VRSK).

"Using the high-quality data collected by our state-of-the-art imagery resources, our customers tell us they`re able to improve efficiencies significantly and make more informed property decisions than before," said Taylor. "In addition, as we provide this information on our industry-leading platforms, such as GeomniTM Mobile app, Xactimate®, and XactAnalysis®, our customers are able to easily integrate the information into their workflows, and they`re finding new and creative ways to use the data that weren`t imagined only a few months ago."

"For example, after the recent hailstorms in Janesville, Wisconsin, and the tornado in Xenia, Ohio, post-event data and imagery helped our insurer customers resolve claims faster, improve policyholder satisfaction, and identify potentially fraudulent claims," explained Taylor.

Aerial imagery and property data, including measurements and dimensions, are available for commercial and residential properties through Geomni Property, Geomni Roof, and Geomni Roof Essentials data packages. They provide insightful data for InsurTech claims and underwriting solutions, commercial applications, and Photogrammetry, Surveying and Mapping firms serving customers in multiple segments, including government, energy, solar, and more.

Geomni has built a massive library of high-resolution imagery and 3D data by using multiple remote sensing platforms with a focus on fixed-wing aircraft but also including satellites, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and even mobile devices used to collect ground-level data and images through the Geomni Mobile app.
