German pilots union reviewing statement from Ryanair on union recognition

BERLIN (Reuters) - German pilots union Vereinigung Cockpit is reviewing Ryanair's (RYA.I) announcement that it intends to recognize unions, a spokesman for the union said.

"We are looking into it," a spokesman said.

Ryanair earlier on Friday said it would recognize pilot unions for the first time in its 32-year history in a bid to stop its first pilot strike from taking place later in the day.
