Ghostbusters Actress Leslie Jones Targeted In Cyber Attack

Nude photos and personal information about actress Leslie Jones have been posted on her website by a hacker.

The passport and driver's licence of the Ghostbusters star were published in the attack.

In an apparent racist insult, a video of the dead gorilla who was killed when a boy fell into his pen in Cincinnati Zoo - was also published.

The site, JustLeslie.com, has now been taken down.

Jones, 48, became a top trending topic on social media after the news.

Many people expressed support for the actress, who was also a target of racist bullying on Twitter in July.

Ghostbusters director Paul Feig tweeted: "What's happening to @Lesdoggg is an absolute outrage ... haters, trolls, 'comedians,' whoever ... you all are, you're just sad."

Girls star Lena Dunham and singer Katy Perry were among others to voice their anger.

Perry tweeted: "Do not give your eyeballs to this racist, hate-filled, misogynoir crime. I StandWithLeslie."

Dunham tweeted: "Let's turn our anger at trolls into love for Leslie Jones and into strategies to protect all the heroines who don't deserve this b*******."

After starring in the Ghostbusters film this summer, Jones briefly quit Twitter because she was bombarded by racist and abusive comments.

In response, Twitter permanently suspended numerous accounts and said it was taking steps to confront abusive behaviour.

The hacker in the latest case reportedly got into Jones' iCloud account, which lets users store photos and other content and access it from any Apple device.

In 2014, Apple confirmed that nude photos of celebrities including Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence had been accessed through hacking of iCloud accounts, then posted online.

Representatives from Apple and Jones' agent did not respond to requests for comment.
