Nowadays, so many of our beauty trends come from social media. It taught us how to achieve heatless curls with a bathrobe belt, get perfect faux freckles and how to conceal acne.

Just recently, we even saw Adele nail that TikTok blusher trick, in which the placing your blusher slightly higher can change your entire face shape.

Now, Gigi Hadid is the latest celebrity to wear a trend that blew up on social media: fox-eyes.

The "fox-eye" makeup trend grew in popularity last year, thanks to the way it elongates the eye shape. On TikTok, #foxeyemakeup currently has over 31.6 million views, while on Instagram, there are over 11,000 posts with the same hashtag. But what is it exactly?

Well, the trend involves drawing on long and sharped winged liner on the outer corners of the eye, while lining the inner corners, too.

In a recent post by Gigi’s makeup artist Allan Avendaño, the supermodel has gorgeous shimmery eyeshadow that contrasts against her super dark and dramatic eyeliner.

To finish the look, Allan brushed Gigi’s eyebrows into the perfect feathery brow and gave her a pink nude lip. Honestly, she looks incredible:

Looking at the comments section, it’s clear to see the look was a hit.

One user wrote: “Allan!!! This eye!! 🔪🔪🔪 liner perfection! ✨✨✨”

Another added: “Those 👀”
