Gillian Anderson has delighted followers by sharing a series of hilarious behind the scenes photos and videos on the set of The Crown. The highlight being a video of what looks like an impromptu sing-a-long of Mr Sandman bring me a dream.

The actress shared several photos of the cast with black smudges on their faces from filming a scene where the characters play Ibble Dibble in the new season. Off-camera the cast are pulling funny faces to match the comical appearance of the marks.

Swipe to the last slide for the best bit, a surprise video sing-a-long.

With plenty of toe tapping and finger clicking, Gillian has playfully captioned the post: 'A Royal jam.' She's not wrong; plenty of cast members are joining in to sing the 1950's classic hit by The Chordettes. Some more successfully than others...

It looks like they get up to a lot of fun on set in between all the hard work and dramatic scenes.

We're patiently awaiting their next cover. Keep your eyes peeled for an album by The Crown cast.
