Last night’s Fashion Awards was a starry affair with the crème de la crème of A-listers walking the red carpet in their finery but there was one star in particular who totally stole the show.

Sex Education and former X-Files actress, Gillian Anderson, wowed at London's Royal Albert Hall in a custom navy gown created by Gabriela Hearst for Chloé and fans were delighted.

A little boho, a little retro, the dress was floor length with a body that skimmed the actress’s silhouette. It featured voluminous, cape-like a-symmetric sleeves as well as a plunging V-neckline that came complete with keyhole detailing.

Keeping the rest of her look pared-back, aside from a chunky necklace that complemented the dress, the 53-year-old wore her hair down with a loose wave and middle parting.

For her beauty, she opted for a natural look, with flawless, glowing skin, a light blush and a subtly metallic eye. She finished with strong brows and fluttery, black lashes.

A true night of style inspiration, the rest of our best dressed included Kylie Minogue, who dazzled in sequins and debuted a new haircut; Kristen Scott Thomas who looked ultra demure in a classic black satin gown and showcased her natural silver hair; Demi Moore who wowed in a sparkling design by Fendi and Dua Lipa in an all black outfit designed by Maximillian. The singer's strapless gown was finished with a matching choker and statement sleeves.
