The most modern employer in Switzerland
With its «Our Way of Working,» Sunrise UPC positions itself as most modern workplace in Switzerland. In addition to its innovative models for mobility and flexible working, another key element is the introduction of the «Ultimate Digital Workplace». Since the end of 2020, all Sunrise UPC employees have been receiving a 5G business phone and will now be equipped with the best HP laptops with 5G technology over the next few months. Ultra-slim and lightweight, the HP Elitebook lets employees connect from virtually anywhere and work in any office-like location.
5G HP Elitebook
HP has the most sustainable PC portfolio in the world. The energy efficiency of the 5G HP Elitebook has been improved by 44%, through energy-saving adjustments to its low-power panels. As the first notebook in the world, these devices were in part manufactured from plastic that would otherwise have landed in the oceans. Over 80% of its mechanical parts are made of recycled materials.
Sustainability at Sunrise UPC
With its products and services, Sunrise UPC connects people and enables them to use the digital world securely and with enthusiasm. The environment, social responsibility and corporate governance are central topics for Sunrise UPC that are anchored in its ESG strategy. With a focus on durability and repairability, at least 75% of returned set-top boxes and modems from the product portfolio will be refurbished and sent to new customers by 2023.
Sunrise UPC wants to move in the same direction with the devices used internally in the company. The old laptops will be professionally refurbished and distributed to disadvantaged people in a program developed with Caritas, making it easier for them to access the Internet and learn digital skills.
