Yahoo Finance Black Friday: Is the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer on sale this year?
The Black Friday sales weekend always makes a good time to stock up on life’s essentials with a helpful discount. So we’re hoping for price cuts on some new quality hair tools to keep our locks looking perfect throughout the year. At the top of our wishlist is the much-loved Dyson Supersonic hair dryer.
With almost 5,000 five star reviews, the coveted beauty tool has earned itself a legion of fans thanks to its sleek design and ability to create that “perfect salon blow dry” at home. According to the brand, the clever dryer uses ‘intelligent heat control to maintain Dyson's optimum temperature, helping to prevent extreme heat damage’.
This sounds good to us, although it does mean the Supersonic isn’t cheap, costing £329.99 – a price that hasn’t changed since its launch in 2016.
Naturally, we’d be very happy to shave some pounds off if possible but to date we’ve never seen discounts. We continue to live in hope, however, so will keep crossing our fingers for a Dyson Black Friday sale on the Supersonic hair dryer in 2023.

Here are the best Black Friday hair tool deals we found last year.
Ghd hair stylers are some of the best out there – so we were pleased to spot 20% discounts on a wealth of products last year, including the GHI-approved Helios hairdryer and Glide hot brush. With selected products, you could bag a free heat protection spray too.
The beauty marketplace offered up to 70% off on hair tools, from the likes of ghd, Babyliss and Beauty Works. Our best spot? This Babyliss cordless hair straightener was down to £60 from £200 – a massive £140 saving!
The British department store had some great deals on hair tools from top brands like Babyliss and Philips. That included a generous 55% discount on these pretty pink Babyliss hair straighteners and 50% off this Babyliss hair dryer.
Amazon
Amazon offered up to 60% off a bunch of hair tools from the likes of ghd, Revlon and Babyliss. We spotted a 40% discount on the GHI-approved ghd Helios hairdryer, down to £110 from £179.
Boots cut the price tags on some great hair tools, with savings up to 60% on hair dryers, straighteners, curling tongs and styling gift sets.
Very
Very had some decent deals on hair products for Black Friday, including discounts on big names including Babyliss and Remington. We found a £110 saving on this Panasonic hairdryer, down to £70 from £180, and a decent £44 saving on this Babyliss rose gold hair curling gift set.
Beauty Bay
Beauty Bay always has great Black Friday sales and 2022 was no different. The online retailer offered up to 30% off hundreds of haircare bits, including electrical hair tools, hair brushes and accessories.
Debenhams
Decent discounts were available on hair stylers, straighteners and dryers at Debenhams – with money off top name brands like Revolution Haircare and and Tresemme.
What is Black Friday?
The Black Friday sales weekend, regarded as the busiest shopping day of the year, takes place on the last Friday of November and ends the following Monday, otherwise known as Cyber Monday. Cyber Monday was historically known as the online equivalent to Black Friday, giving smaller websites a chance to compete with larger in-store sales.
Black Friday was originally an US tradition to mark the end of Thanksgiving. It first came to Britain in 2010, courtesy of Amazon, and has since taken off with the majority of UK retailers taking part. Wayfair and Dunelm have all offered decent price cuts on thousands of products in previous years – usually with discounts from around 20% to 50%.
When is Black Friday 2023?
This year’s Black Friday falls on Friday 24 November and ends on Monday 27 November. Saying that, some retailers drop deals early. John Lewis quietly unveiled deals three weeks before the big event in 2022, while Amazon usually offers early discounts to Prime members.
What else can I get in the Black Friday sale 2023?
No retailers have launched their sales yet, but the Black Friday sale period makes a great opportunity for you to stock up on usually pricey items at a reduced rate.
Fashionistas should expect discounts from the likes of Mango, & Other Stories, New Look and GH favourite Boden who all offered up to 50% off in 2022.
A wealth of beauty brands usually take part in Black Friday too. Last year, Online retailers Beauty Bay and Feelunique offered up to 50% off products from Kiehls, Clarins and Glossier.
Big names like John Lewis and Very usually offer discounts on home essentials, like furniture, bedding and kitchenware. Bedding brands run good sales too – last year, Simba offered up to 60% off all its products, including its GHI-approved hybrid mattress and pillows.
We’re hoping for more of the same in November.
