Yahoo Finance This Hack For Using Your ‘Empty’ Nutella Jar To Make Hot Chocolate Is Genius
Is it just us, or does it feel like summer 2021 might be over? And we’re actually fine with that, tbh. We quite like autumn because it means we can get our big, snuggly jumpers out of storage, we can drink red wine like it’s going out of fashion (not that you can’t do that the rest of the year, but ya know), and hot chocolate takes over from iced coffee as our drink of choice.
Seeing as we love hot chocolate so much here at Delish, when we saw this genius hack for making Nutella hot chocolate recently, we were so excited we had to have a little sit down.
So, you know how at the end of a jar of Nutella, there’s always some of that delicious chocolatey hazelnutty spread that you just can’t get out no matter how hard you try (and we try HARD. Trust), well this hack means none of that goodness goes to waste, AND you get a delicious drink out of it.
All you have to do is warm some milk either on the hob or in the microwave, then add a splash of the warm milk (not boiling) to the jar. Pop the lid on and give the jar a little shake. Keep shaking until you can see that all the Nutella has incorporated with the warm milk. Then open the lid and add the rest of the warm milk to the jar, stir, et voila: you’ve got yourself a Nutella hot chocolate!
You can serve it in the jar (which we think looks pretty cool) or transfer it to your favourite mug. And, of course, you’d be crazy not to add whipped cream, sprinkles marshmallows or just about anything you fancy.
