Yahoo Finance Halsey hits out at speculation around her pregnancy saying it was ‘100% planned’

(Getty Images for BudX)Singer-songwriter Halsey has responded to speculation about whether her pregnancy was planned.
The “Bad at Love” singer received a number of unwanted comments on her baby news, responding via an Instagram Story she wrote: “Why is it OK to speculate and pass judgement about fertility and conception?
“My pregnancy was 100 per cent planned, and I tried very hard for this bb. But I would be just as happy even if it were another way.”
In January, Halsey announced she was expecting her first child with screenwriter boyfriend Alev Aydin.
"Surprise!" The star wrote on a post with a picture of her bump, to which Aydin commented. "Heart so full, I love you, sweetness."
She has been subject to pregnancy rumours since 2019, after tweeting: "I have The Biggest Secret (unrelated to the album) and when u guys hear it, some of you are gonna explode into actual pieces."
The singer later commented: "People think my last tweet is me hinting I'm pregnant, which means I'm either: a. gaining weight b. acting weirder than usual," she clarified hours later. "Jokes on u, I’m doing BOTH! however STILL not pregnant!"
Halsey has been outspoken about her desire to be a mum and experiencing a miscarriage, which happened before a show. She continued with the performance, despite the trauma she was suffering.
"It's the angriest performance that I've ever done in my life," she told Rolling Stone. "That was the moment of my life where I thought to myself, 'I don't feel like a f**ing human being anymore.'
“This thing, this music, Halsey, whatever it is that I'm doing, took precedence and priority over every decision that I made regarding this entire situation from the moment I found out until the moment it went wrong. I walked offstage and went into the parking lot and just started throwing up,” she added.
In the interview, she also explained she wanted to "be a mom more than I want to be a pop star, more than I want to be anything in the world."
Halsey’s song “More” was inspired by her experiences.
