Meghan and Harry used the interview to speak out about their upset that members of the royal family had spoken to him about how "dark" their son Archie's skin might be.
Banjo tweeted: "Harry and Meghan told me over the phone they were there for me and they understood more than most... I’m forever thankful for that support. Nothing but the highest love and respect for them both."
Other stars watching the interview hailed Meghan's bravery for speaking out about the racism she had experience in the royal family.
Myleene Klass wrote: "This is incredibly brave of her to speak this way. Too much for any one person to carry. Why people still chose to not believe them is so wrong."
Sinitta tweeted: "Oh Hell No!! Every time she says concerns about #BabyArchies skin colour my Heart Leaps .... Harry must have been raging..... I am done! I was wondering what colour his hair would be!"
The So Macho singer added: "I don’t know about you, but I am finding this SO painful to watch."
Meghan also opened up about having suicidal thoughts while pregnant with Archie.
Paul Danan tweeted: "Bless Harry I love him soo much! He was always the black sheep and he was always the one who would not put up with the bull***! I'm so proud of what he has done and so should the nation be...."
But not everyone was supportive.
Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan compared the interview to confrontational show Jeremy Kyle.
He tweeted: "This is actually like watching a version of Jeremy Kyle but with people with good teeth #MeghanAndHarry."
