Miller was promoted by the Skyhawks. She previously was the team’s assistant general manager and was hired for that position in July 2019. Before joining the G League, Miller worked as a basketball operations intern with the Phoenix Suns.
After being hired as the team’s assistant general manager last summer, Miller spoke to The Athletic about her goal of becoming a general manager in the NBA. Miller told Chris Kirschner, “I want to create that path. I want to be the one person where others say, ‘Hey, Tori Miller did it. I want to do it as well.’”
Miller will begin her tenure as the Skyhawks’ general manager looking toward next season. While the NBA intends to resume play July 30, the remainder of the G League season was canceled as a result of the coronavirus.
