At the weekend, Men’s Health took to the competition floor to take on Battle Cancer: the world's leading functional fitness fundraising event series, founded by Men’s Health SQUAD’s own Elite coach Scott Britton.

With team competitions from LA to Berlin, Battle Cancer's London event raised over £250,000 for cancer survivors and their families.

Below, we've modified one of the workouts that all 1600 competitors tackled. It's designed to test your ability to be explosive and keep moving while under fatigue, to smokes your back, biceps and legs and set your metabolism ablaze.

Grab a sandbag and work your way through five rounds of the following circuit, as quickly as possible.

Bag-To-Shoulder x 10

With the sandbag on the floor between your feet, hinge down to grip it in both hands, keeping your back straight (A). Hug the bag, lift it to your chest, then sit down resting it on your thighs. Now Stand up explosively and simultaneously thrust the bag up and onto your shoulder (B) Drop to the floor and repeat, alternating shoulders each rep.
