Commencement of the additional acceptance period for the voluntary public takeover offer by Oaktree and CURA for Deutsche EuroShop AG tomorrow
12 July 2022 – London & Hamburg – Today, a consortium of private investment funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. and CURA Vermögensverwaltung, the family office of the Otto family and parent company of ECE Group, through the bidder Hercules BidCo GmbH, which is indirectly controlled by the consortium, announced that the public takeover offer for Deutsche EuroShop was accepted for a total of 31,510,805 shares of Deutsche EuroShop (ISIN: DE 000 748 020 4; WKN 748020) at the end of the acceptance period at midnight (CEST) on 7 July 2022.
For the purposes of the minimum acceptance threshold, the acceptance rate as of the expiry of the acceptance period (including the shares held by the controlling shareholder of CURA Vermögensverwaltung, Alexander Otto, and entities controlled by him including CURA Vermögensverwaltung, who in total hold approximately 20 percent of Deutsche EuroShop’s share capital) was approximately 71.03 percent.
Shareholders of Deutsche EuroShop who have not yet tendered their shares can still do so by accepting the offer within the additional acceptance period, which will commence on 13 July 2022 and expire at midnight (CEST) on 26 July 2022.
