Holby City's shock returnee Rosie Marcel has broken her silence following yesterday's (July 27) episode.
In the first five minutes, it was revealed that her character Jac Naylor (who's been away since January) was supplanting Henrik Hanssen as the NHS Improvement Director at the hospital.
Taking to Instagram shortly after Holby aired, Marcel addressed this big surprise.
"It's good to be back!!!!!" she wrote next to a behind-the-scenes selfie.
"Sorry to have fibbed to you all. This has been a tight lipped secret for four months!! I've had to drive in to the bbc in a hat, mask, sunglasses every day but it's been worth it to see all your lovely tweets and comments.
"And getting to work with the amazing @therealdavood [Davood Ghadami] not to mention my lovely @bbcholbycity family again. I have missed them. The bitch is back and it's going to [be] epic!! #jacisback #holbycity #icequeen."
Thrilled to have the actress back in action, Marcel's followers responded with a flurry of positive messages.
"I'm so happy [you're] back. May have upset the family by screaming," noted one person, before two more replied: "I'm so happy Jac is back where she belongs xxxx" and "Absolutely buzzing that you're back!!! It's not been the same without you! Yay!!!! xxx."
Holby City returns to BBC One next Tuesday (August 3).
