Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks star Anna Passey has spoken to Digital Spy about what the future holds for Sienna Blake after this week's near-death experience.

Wednesday's E4 first look episode (February 24) confirmed that Sienna had survived after being rushed to hospital when Summer Ranger shot her in the village.

While recovering, Sienna was quick to share the theory that Summer (Rhiannon Clements) could have been responsible for her ordeal.

Summer later paid a visit to Sienna in hospital, trying to convince her that she must have been caught in the crossfire of the recent County Lines dramas which have plagued the area.

Speaking about the storyline, Anna told Digital Spy: "For Sienna, the aftermath is very much focused on finding out who did this to her and why. She becomes really obsessed with trying to get to the bottom of it.

"As we've seen, Sienna's initial reaction was that it had to be Summer. She starts to get tunnel vision with wanting to know more and finding out who the culprit was. She thinks maybe it's to do with County Lines, or maybe it's not. That's definitely Sienna's focus moving forwards."

On how Sienna's on-off relationship with Brody Hudson (Adam Woodward) will be affected, Anna continued: "Brody has definitely had a big realisation of how much Sienna means to him. But unfortunately, after seeing Sienna and Warren together at the hospital, he starts to keep his distance again.

"From that point on, we definitely see Brody focusing his attention elsewhere. It's one of those classic Brienna misunderstandings that the audience will be frustrated to see.

"The shooting has been a good confirmation that the feelings are still there, but it's whether they know what to do with it."

Anna also confirmed that Sienna will definitely want revenge, if and when she discovers Summer's guilt.

She teased: "Yeah of course! It doesn't matter who it was, there was always going to be revenge. There are so many things that Sienna can find out now. Even if Sienna finds out that it was actually Brody that Summer was aiming for, she'd want revenge for that. The audience should definitely look out for that."

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
