Major Home and Away spoilers follow from Australian pace episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away has confirmed the identity of Summer Bay's secret killer.

The soap recently launched a murder mystery on Australian screens as Susie McAllister's body was found in the sea by local fishermen.

Susie's shock death left plenty of the Bay's most popular characters in the frame, including Justin Morgan, Leah Patterson-Baker, John Palmer and Irene Roberts.

However, Thursday's triple bill of episodes in Australia (July 1) confirmed that mysterious stranger Stephen Tennyson was the one hiding a dark secret.

In the latest episodes, Stephen skilfully placed doubt in Leah's mind over Justin's innocence after the police found Susie's missing phone in his car.

The police were treating Justin as their prime suspect and Stephen subtly tried to make Leah believe that her partner was guilty.

Leah hid herself away in Stephen's hotel room as she tried to process the devastating possibility.

When Stephen headed out for a while, everything changed in tense scenes. First up, Leah spotted that Stephen had a secret second phone concealed underneath the hotel room's bed.

The phone had been used to send John fake texts, seemingly from Susie. In reality, these were sent by Stephen well after Susie had been murdered.

Leah also found a bag of money and Susie's missing laptop.

The alarming discoveries pointed to Stephen as the secret killer, but when he arrived back at the hotel room, Leah raced to put everything back in its place and pretended that everything was normal.

Will Leah be able to make her escape or will terrible danger follow for her?

Home and Away fans in the UK will see these scenes in mid-August on Channel 5.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm and 6pm on Channel 5 (UK) and Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 (Australia). Selected classic episodes are available via Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
