Biscuits for 9p

If you want to save money on your broadband and phone package, there’s plenty of competition around at the moment. Cheaper credit cards for paying off your debt

Barclaycard has extended the interest-free balance transfer period on its top credit card again, this time to 28 months. The Platinum 28-Month card has a balance transfer fee of 3.5% of the debt being transferred.

If you want to pay less, the Barclaycard Platinum 27-Month card has a 2.99% fee but you’ll have a month less to pay off your debts. There are even cheaper cards for slightly shorter 0% periods – the Nationwide Credit Card offers 26 months with a fee of 2.4%, while the Halifax Balance Transfer card allows you 25 months for a fee of just 2%.
