SHANGHAI (AP) _ Huazhu Group Limited (HTHT) on Wednesday reported first-quarter earnings of $16 million.

The Shanghai-based company said it had net income of 5 cents per share.

The hotel operator posted revenue of $356 million in the period.

Huazhu Group shares have increased 20% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $34.40, a decrease of 22% in the last 12 months.
