Wrestling star Hulk Hogan has leaned down considerably this year, a result of some intense training which has got fans speculating about a potential return to the ring. After posting a photo of his arm day gains to Instagram in June, Hogan – real name Terry Bollea –has just shared an update on Facebook, and revealed that he has cut more than 20 pounds in the last six months. Not bad, given the wrestling legend's propensity for throwing back a can of Miller Light as his go-to post-workout beverage.
"Back to my 9th grade weight 275lbs brother," he wrote in the caption of the post, making no mention of the "health problems" that his fellow former pro wrestler Ric Flair alluded to on a recent episode of his podcast, a spurious statement which at present remains uncorroborated.
If anything, Hogan has a proven track record of bouncing back. The five-time WWE champion underwent back surgery in 2019, and despite being told by medical professionals to take it easy for at least four months following his operation, was posting selfies from the gym and getting his "pizump" on after a mere seven weeks.
While Hogan's arms are looking jacked in the new photo, and incredibly impressive for a man of 68, he now suffers from a somewhat unfair point of comparison. Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has been packing on the muscle this year in order to play Hogan in a movie, and his biceps went viral over the summer, with even Hogan commenting: "He’s already there! He’s ready BROTHER!"
