The Hunger Games' Julianne Moore and The Amazing Spider-Man 2's Dane DeHaan star in the new Stephen King miniseries Lisey's Story, which has just dropped its freaky first trailer.
Set to hit streaming service Apple TV+ next month, this eight-episode chiller finds Moore's Lisey Landon grieving the loss of her famed novelist husband Scott (Clive Owen).
"A series of unsettling events causes Lisey to face memories of her marriage to Scott that she has deliberately blocked out of her mind," the synopsis adds.
The book won the prestigious Bram Stoker Award for Best Novel in 2006, and in a rare move for The Master of Horror, King has adapted his own work for the TV version.
As for the series itself, first impressions are that we're in for a real treat thanks to some magnetic performances and suitably eerie visuals.
The supporting cast is pretty impressive too, with Joan Allen (Face/Off) and Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight) making appearances.
Lisey's Story is directed by Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larraín, whose credits include Natalie Portman's Jackie and the upcoming Princess Diana drama Spencer, starring Kristen Stewart.
JJ Abrams produces, while the cinematography was done by Oscar-nominee Darius Khondji (Se7en and Uncut Gems).
Lisey's Story comes to Apple TV+ on Friday, June 4.
