'I made police drink urine': SP leader threatens officer
A Samajwadi Party leader’s disgusting remarks aimed at showcasing the party’s ‘clout’ and belittling the police force have triggered outrage on social media.
A video of Vijay Singh, a former Member of Legislative Assembly of the SP in Uttar Pradesh, has surfaced where he can be seen aggressively boasting to a police officer that when his party was in power in the state, he had enough power to make even policemen ‘drink urine’.
The video was shared on Twitter by Shalabh Mani Tripathi, adviser to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
pic.twitter.com/L7qvNO9KYT

The former SP MLA was apparently threatening the officer after his candidate lost the recently held block pramukh election.
Vijay Singh has now been booked for threatening the police.

At a time when SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is accusing Yogi Adityanath of allegedly ‘lending support to hooligans’ in the state, the appalling behaviour by the leader of his own party takes the sting out of his comments against the ruling dispensation.
