'I'm A Celebrity': Jacqueline Jossa's family backtrack on pleas to vote for her in trials, saying 'she's getting upset now'

Jacqueline Jossa’s husband and mum have backtracked on asking people to vote for her to do the I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! trials after feeling guilty at seeing how upset she was to keep confronting her jungle fears.

Former Towie star Dan Osborne had previously asked his Instagram followers to put his wife up for every challenge so that she could make the most of her time in the jungle, but has now changed his mind, saying she’s getting too upset.

When ex-EastEnder Jossa was told over the weekend that she would be doing yet another Bushtucker Trial with Ian Wright, she broke down in tears, sobbing: “I don’t want to do any more, man.”

Later, she said: “You worry, ‘Why are people voting me.’ I hope I don’t break.

“I’ve just realised I really care about what other people think of me. I didn’t think I cared that much, but being in here I’ve realised how much I do.”

Osborne changed his tune about the trials, posting an Instagram story where he said: "I know I said you all vote for Jac cos she's ain't in there to change lightbulbs – but I didn't mean every single trial.

"Give her a break now, come on. But she keeps smashing them all. She's worried about it but she'll smash it. She'll keep proving everyone.

"Let her do this one then give her a break please because she's getting upset now and it ain't nice. But she'll get all the stars, smash it and then go back and have a nice dinner."

Her mum Selina also sheepishly agreed that she shouldn’t have told people to vote for her daughter to do the challenges.

According to the Mirror, she said: “It is a lot for her. I think she has proven herself so they could vote for someone else.”

She admitted: “It is partly my fault because we have got a really big family in Ireland and I think they all keep voting for her because I told them to at the start.”

However, one member of Jossa’s family who didn’t agree that she deserved a break was her cousin and best friend Ciara Watling, who plays football for Crystal Palace.

She appeared on ITV’s Lorraine on Monday morning to talk about I’m A Celebrity, but when asked whether her cousin deserved a break, she had a surprising answer.

Watling said: “No, she’s there for a reason, she knew what she was going in to do. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I think people should keep on voting.”

She added: “I think she didn’t help herself, showing the world how scared she was.”

After Jossa’s most recent trial, which saw her crawl through confined spaces packed with pythons and ants to win every star available, Osborne posted another Instagram story which showed him watching at home and cheering on... her co-star Ian Wright.
