Indonesian retailer Mitra Adiperkasa up for second day on debt sale to CVC

JAKARTA, April 1 (Reuters) - Shares (Berlin: DI6.BE - news) of Indonesian retailer PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk extended gains for the second day after the company said it will issue 1.5 trillion rupiah ($115 million) worth of bonds to a unit of private equity firm CVC Capital Partners.

Mitra shares jumped as much as 8.6 percent in early trade on Wednesday, a day after surging 17 percent.

Mitra is also considering spinning off its sports and garment businesses and may pursue an initial public offering for the unit in future.
