Did someone say waffle croissants for breakfast? Yes, please.

If you’ve ever looked up the laborious process of making homemade croissants, fear not — you won’t be doing much heavy-lifting here. This decadent waffle is super simple to make but not for the faint of heart.

So the next time you get bored of waffles or want to get more bang out of your waffle maker, you’ll want to try this upgraded breakfast (or dessert — depending on how you look at it).

What you’ll need

  • Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (or similar frozen pastry)

  • Granulated sugar

  • Waffle iron

  • Your favorite toppings

First, open up your Crescent Rolls and unravel the sheets of dough. Place the sheets on parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Next, roll each of the mini croissants like you would normally. Then, gently brush with oil.

Use a pair of tongs to roll each croissant in the granulated sugar for a light coating.

Place the croissants in the waffle iron and cook for two minutes. When done, they should be nice and golden brown.

Now serve with your favorite toppings like caramel, syrup, chocolate chips or ice cream.

There you have it, this quick and indulgent snack only takes a few minutes and the payoff is well worth it. So dig right in.
