ING posts 4Q profit

AMSTERDAM (AP) _ ING Groep NV (ING) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $809.3 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Amsterdam-based company said it had net income of 21 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 39 cents per share.

The financial services provider posted revenue of $4.81 billion in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $5.15 billion, or $1.33 per share. Revenue was reported as $19.32 billion.

ING shares have risen nearly 3 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 26 percent in the last 12 months.
