Inside the fabulous life of the Prince of Jaipur

Padmanabh Singh is perhaps the most recognisable royal from India.

The 22-year-old titular king of Jaipur has walked the runway for Dolce and Gabbana, appeared on the covers of various fashion magazines and his home, the Palace of Jaipur is the stuff that dreams ae made of.

He plays polo and served as the captain of the Indian Polo Team oh, and, did you know that his godfather is Prince Charles?

You won't believe how much the royal family is worth

If his Instagram is anything to go by, Padmanabh Singh’s life every bit the charmed life you’d imagine a royal would have.

Yet, the young king isn’t flashy.

If anything, he’s the opposite of it. Understated, classy and ever so stylish, Padmanabh Singh is very serious about the responsibilities he carries as a member of an erstwhile royal family.

He works closely with the Diya Kumari foundation, his mother’s eponymous NGO and he’s been the face of the suite that the family has put out on Airbnb recently, promoting it to raise funds for the foundation.

Padmanabh Singh is also an accomplished polo player. He began playing the sport back in 2015. Today, he’s part of the Guards Polo Club in England and has even led the Indian team at Hurlingham Park.

This was the first time that an Indian polo team played at the iconic venue in 70 years. The last time the Indian polo team had a successful tour of the UK, it was led by his grandfather the late Bhawani Singh.

Before he passed away, Bhawani Singh officially adopted Padmanabh making him the heir to the throne of Jaipur. To be sure, all inherited titles have been abolished in India but royal families tend to wield a lot of influence in their former kingdoms, something Padmanabh acknowledges.

But this doesn’t mean that the young king doesn’t let his hair down. When he isn’t on thee polo ground or carrying out the duties that come with being a member of a prominent royal family, Padmanabh Singh is like a regular 22-year-old with one small minor exception: he’s very rich.

Of course he throws legendary parties – his holi dos are stuff that you’d only see in movies – and he also loves to travel.

Padmanabh is also a very, very stylish young man and often tends to rely on his in-house tailor than some high-street fashion brand.

His taste in clothes has often led him to be featured on covers of magazines such as GQ but also walk for international fashion houses such as D&G.
