Inside the 'unique' Poole luxury holiday home set in a privately-owned garden
Getting away for a break away from work is something a lot of people look forward to, and getting a great place to stay is certainly an important part of that.
Luxury hotels and cottages can be just as much fun as the trip itself, and there's an option pretty much right on your doorstep if you live in Poole.
The Summer House at the Compton Acres gardens is opening its doors to visitors for the first time and is available for short-term lets.
If you don't want to go too far to experience a bit of luxury then you may be in luck, and you can request a booking on the Compton Acres website here.
Take a look inside the holiday home
The house holds an elevated position which affords great views over the gardens of Compton Acres and all the way down to the water at Poole Harbour.
On their website, Compton Acres said: "The open-plan living space is bright and provides guests with ample space to unwind and host if they wish.
"Each bedroom offers a calming, sanctuary-like space for guests to enjoy – with the master benefiting from an en-suite bathroom also."
Additionally, the house can sleep six people, with it having three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
A benefit of the house being inside Compton Acres is that you have unlimited access to all 10 acres of the gardens during opening hours whilst staying.
If that doesn't take your fancy then there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas of Sandbanks, Canford Cliffs, Lilliput and Westbourne.
There are ample shops, restaurants and cafes to explore in these areas, as well as plenty of Blue Flag beaches.
Plus, the managing agents, Rumsey's of Sandbanks, offer a bespoke concierge service during your stay which can help with suggesting things to do as well as booking restaurants and day trips.
Owner Bernard Merna said: "What was once a small Summer House is now a beautiful residence with in my view, the best view from the gardens.
"The sunsets are simply stunning and the sense of tranquillity, especially once the gardens close is very special.
"We look forward to welcoming you to the Summer House and gardens together with the opportunity to visit the cafe/restaurant and pizzeria, within the grounds."
