IPL 2021: Aakash Chopra Names His Ideal Playing XIs For KKR vs RCB Clash

The second phase of the IPL 2021 has started in the UAE with the Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings game. The second match will take place between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). And, cricketer-turned commentator Aakash Chopra has picked his preferred playing XIs of both sides for this match on his YouTube channel.

According to Chopra, youngster Devdutt Padikkal will open the innings for the RCB along with the captain Virat Kohli. Chopra also picked Rajat Patidar to bat at No.3, with Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers coming in at No.4 and No.5 respectively as well.

Aakash Chopra has named all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed and New Zealand player Kyle Jamieson at No.6 and No.7 respectively as well. And, he believes RCB should go with four players – Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Sri Lankan pacer Dushmantha Chameera as well.

On the other hand, Aakash Chopra has also picked his KKR playing XI for the match against RCB. Chopra feels that Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana will open KKR’s innings. While Rahul Tripathi will bat at the No.3 slot, overseas players Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell will come in at No.4 and No.5 respectively as well.

While Dinesh Karthik will do the job behind the stumps, Bangladesh cricketer Shakib-al-Hasan will come in at No.7. Chopra believed Lockie Ferguson, Shivam Mavi, and Prasidh Krishna will be the pacers for the game against RCB. And, Varun Chakravarthy will play as the lone specialist spinner.
