Ravichandran Ashwin won the verbal battle against KKR skipper Eoin Morgan by dismissing him in the 11th over of Kolkata’s chase. The side is chasing 128 to win in Sharjah as Morgan’s poor run with the bat continued. The southpaw has just scored over 100 runs and is having a season to forget with the bat.
Eoin Morgan had a go at Ravichandran Ashwin after he was dismissed while batting for Delhi Capitals. Ashwin gave it back by dismissing Morgan for a duck off two balls.

The expression on Ravichandran Ashwin’s face after dismissing Morgan said it all. He did not like the way, Morgan behaved with himin the first innings and gave it his away in the second innings.
Earlier, in the game, Delhi Capitals scored 127/9 with Steve Smith and Rishabh pant scoring 39 each. With the ball, the KKR spinners stifled the DC batsmen.
The pacers also capped off a good spell restricting the opposition under 130.
Speaking at the end of the first innings, Steve Smith stated that the wicket didn’t favour the batters and it was difficult to play the shots.
After the first innings, Steve Smith said: “Not an easy surface to play on. With the new ball, the only boundaries we got was when they overpitched or Shikhar sort of made it into a half-volley. When you bowl that good, hard length, some are skidding a bit low and some are stopping on the surface. As the ball got a little bit older, it just held up and took a bit of spin as well.”
