Irish consumer prices post largest monthly fall since January

DUBLIN, Oct (HKSE: 3366-OL.HK - news) 8 (Reuters) - Irish consumer prices in September posted their largest monthly fall since January, slipping 0.5 percent, official figures showed on Thursday.

The consumer price index (CPI (Other OTC: CPICQ - news) ) fell 0.3 percent in September compared with the same month last year, the sharpest annual fall in four months.

The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), which strips out mortgages, fell 0.5 percent on the month and was unchanged from September 2014, the Central Statistics Office said. (Reporting by Conor Humphries; Editing by Hugh Lawson)
