Irish jobless claims fall in June

DUBLIN, July 2 (Reuters) - The number of people claiming unemployment benefits in Ireland (Other OTC: IRLD - news) fell by 2,300 to a seasonally adjusted 344,900 in June, the central statistics office said on Thursday.

The number claiming benefits is down from a 2010 peak of 450,000 and the official unemployment rate has fallen from a peak of 15 percent in early 2012 to 9.7 percent in June. (Reporting by Conor Humphries; Editing by Robin Pomeroy)
