Is Sharad Pawar unhappy with Maha CM Uddhav Thackeray?

Maharashtra government, led by the chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, has been in the throes of controversies since last one year. From mishandling the COVID-19 situation in the state to the extortion allegations by the former Mumbai police commissioner Paramvir Singh, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance has faced withering flak.

Now the chief of the Nationalist Congress Party Sharad Pawar, who was instrumental in cobbling toegther the MVA govt, is reportedly miffed with Uddhav. According to a report in a Marathi newspaper, the NCP supremo believes that he committed a big mistake by making Uddhav Thackeray the chief minister of Maharashtra.

According to the report, Uddhav has even stopped responding to his phone calls. The veteran leader confided in Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut that he or Eknath Shinde would have been a far better choice for the post of Maharashtra’s chief ministership.

This comes after the recent statement by Raut who stressed upon the need for the opposition unity against Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).
