Ivory Coast Oct-Feb cocoa bean exports down 3 pct

ABIDJAN (Reuters) - Ivory Coast had exported 715,295 tonnes of raw cocoa beans by the end of February from the start of the season on Oct. 1, down 3 percent from the same period a year earlier, provisional port data showed on Friday. The 2016/17 cocoa marketing season runs from October to September in the world's top grower. The following are official figures for cocoa beans exports in tonnes from Ivory Coast's two ports of San Pedro and Abidjan for February: Feb 2017 Jan 2017 Feb 2016 Abidjan 96,857 80,277 92,971 San Pedro 128,259 104,777 91,947 Total 225,116 185,054 184,918 Cumulative 715,295 490,179 739,537 NOTE: February data is provisional and subject to revision.
