Jason Sudeikis swapped Tom Ford suit for tie-dye hoodie for Golden Globes

Jason Sudeikis wore a casual tie-dye hoodie to the Golden Globes earlier this year because he didn't feel like wearing his Tom Ford suit.

The Horrible Bosses actor hit headlines in February for shunning traditional formalwear and opting for a pastel blue green and white hoodie when he virtually accepted the Best Performance in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy for Ted Lasso.

In a cover interview with GQ magazine, Sudeikis revealed that a Tom Ford suit had been flown over to London, where he was filming the second series of the show, for him to wear for the virtual ceremony, but he felt ridiculous wearing it to sit in front of Zoom in the middle of the night, so changed into the hoodie, which advertised his sister's Kristin Sudeikis' New York dance studio, Forward Space.

"I wore that hoodie because I didn't wanna f**king wear the f**king top half of a Tom Ford suit," he said. "I love Tom Ford suits. But it felt weird as s**t."

When he was announced the winner of his category, the funnyman gave a dazed acceptance speech, leading many to wonder if was doing OK following his split from Olivia Wilde, the mother of his two children. However, Sudeikis has insisted it was just late at night and he didn't want to wear a suit.

"I was neither high nor heartbroken," he stated. "So yeah, off it came and it was like, 'This is how I feel. I believe in moving forward.'"

The actor continued to rock casualwear throughout awards season, with him sporting another hoodie at the Critics' Choice Awards and a "My Body My Choice" sweater to the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Speaking to People ahead of the latter ceremony, he said that his outfits have been "100 per cent intentional" and he knew they would provoke a reaction.

"I 100 per cent knew that was going to be a whole to-do. That's me. I'm a rabble-rouser," he teased.
