Raise your hand if you binged The Serpent in a day. Good work, us too. The BBC drama landed on iPlayer just a couple of weeks ago, and we've all been completely obsessed with it ever since. Good news, then, that series star Jenna Coleman has shared several behind the scenes pictures of the cast on set of The Serpent.

Starring Tahar Rahim and Jenna Coleman, the eight-part series tells the true story of conman and killer Charles Sobhraj (Rahim) and his partner Monique Marie-Andree, real name Marie Andrée Leclerc (Coleman), as they rob and murder backpackers on Asia's hippie trail during the 1970s.

Equal parts stylish and horrifying, the series tells the story of how Sobhraj - who gave himself the moniker Alain Gautier - lured victims into his apparently glamorous world of pool parties, gemstones, and luxury travel, before manipulating, drugging and robbing them. He gave Leclerc the pseudonym of Monique, and persuaded her to go along with his barbaric behaviour under this persona - not her own.

Jenna Coleman, who plays Monique in the sinister drama has just treated us to some very exciting behind the scenes pictures of the cast on set, including one of the scene in which Monique and Charles are arrested in their Bangkok apartment.

Over the last few weeks series director Hans Herbots has also shared several behind the scenes pictures of The Serpent being filmed, including one which shows Monique and Charles' Bangkok apartment; a set in Tring, Hertfordshire. Fooled us completely.

All episodes of The Serpent are available to view on BBC iPlayer now.
