Yahoo Finance Jenna Dewan Shares Tragic News Of Relative’s Death Due To Covid-19
Jenna Dewan has opened up about the devastating impact the Coronavirus pandemic has had on her close family.
On Thursday, the dancer shared a post on her Instagram Stories revealing that her uncle recently passed away from the virus.
‘My uncle passed away from Covid-19,’ she wrote. 'Many lives could’ve been saved. So important we vote.’
The devastating news comes months after she welcomed her first child, Callum, with her fiancé, Steve Kazee, in March.
Hours before announcing her tragic family news, the Step Up star shared a photograph of her baby and six-year-old daughter, Everly, whom she co-parents with her ex-husband Channing Tatum.
‘These two little heart openers make everything better. Tell me..what are you all doing to cope during these stressful times?’ she captioned the sweet post.

In recent months, president Donald Trump has been criticised for his lack of seriousness when it comes to the pandemic, having previously stated that the health crisis was ‘under control’ and that 99 per cent of Covid-19 cases are ‘totally harmless’.
In a recent interview with the Washington Post, Mr Trump described the virus as ‘deadly stuff’ and admitted to down-playing its effect.
‘I wanted to always play it down,’ the president told journalist Bob Woodward, according to a recording of a telephone conversation between the pair. ‘I still like playing it down.
‘I don’t want to create panic. I’m not going to drive this country or the world into a frenzy. We want to show confidence. We want to show strength as a nation . . . That is what I have done.’
Earlier this week, NBC News figures showed that the US was nearing its the 200,000th pandemic fatality, with recent statistics totalling 190,327 reported deaths out of more than 6.3 million confirmed Covid-19 cases.
The publication’s analysis reported that one new Covid-19 death is now being recorded every 106 seconds – up from 80 seconds in the first week of August.
Several celebrities and key figures in popular culture have been tested positive with Covid-91 in recent months.
Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Lena Dunham, Pink, Idris Elba and Prince Charles have all spoken out about their experience of the virus and warned others to stay vigilant.
