Jewelry Information Center Launches Ultimate Proposal Contest: Platinum Edition

National Contest Offers Grand Prize of $5,000 in Platinum Jewelry

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - June 10, 2014) - Jewelry Information Center (JIC), the consumer education arm of Jewelers of America (JA), launched its fifth annual Ultimate Proposal Contest on June 9, 2015, at www.JIC.org. The Ultimate Proposal Contest: Platinum Edition is a nationwide search for the best proposal story involving a platinum engagement ring. The Grand Prize includes $5,000 of platinum jewelry from any jeweler who is a member of Jewelers of America, the largest national association for fine jewelry businesses.

Couples who have a proposal involving a platinum engagement ring can share their story with a picture or video at www.JIC.org for a chance to win. JIC's Ultimate Proposal Contest: Platinum Edition entry period will run from June 9, 2014, at 12pm EDT through July 7, 2014, at 12pm EDT, on www.JIC.org. From July 7 - August 14, 2014, at 12pm EDT, America will be able to vote for their favorite proposal story. The 10 entries that receive the most votes will be finalists and move onto the final judging round. The Grand Prize winner will be announced on August 21, 2014.
