Joe Wicks thinks it's "sad" his son Marley hasn’t been able to meet many of his loved ones due to the coronavirus and subsequent lockdowns.

The fitness star welcomed Marley with his wife Rosie Jones in December 2019 and the pair also share a two-year-old daughter, Indie.

Reflecting on the hardest part of lockdown, the 34-year-old told The Mirror: "My little boy Marley is one-year-old and barely anybody has met him, I think that's quite sad, so I am going to find the time to spend with my family and work on being more present, and disconnect from social media, I am so addicted to my device.

"I went for a walk with Marley yesterday and I left my phone at home, it was much better when I wasn't trying to take a photo - it's about appreciating what we have in the moment."

The father-of-two brought back his PE With Joe workouts for England's third lockdown as schools once again closed to all but the children of essential workers.

He delivers three sessions a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to help keep kids at home active, but he's said he became emotional when thinking about others who aren't able to distract themselves in the way he's able to.

"For me, I am so distracted by work, I am so busy, I am constantly working, so I started to feel emotional about people who are bored, who are lonely, who can't work and want to work, or want to see their family but can't, so I really have a lot of empathy for that and for families that are struggling with kids," he shared.

His workouts haven’t been without some minor setbacks though, as he accidentally ended up smacking his head into a wall in one video last week.
