Kaley Cuoco has shared an emotional message for The Big Bang Theory fans ahead of the premiere of her new series.

The actor – who famously portrayed Penny on CBS’s hit sitcom for 12 years – is set to star in HBO Max’s new thriller The Flight Attendant.

Ahead of the show’s release today (26 November), Cuoco shared a heartwarming message with her fans on social media.

In a video posted to Instagram, the actor said: “I'm really grateful that the show is finally airing tomorrow. Eat your Thanksgiving dinner, grab a cocktail and jump on the couch and watch the first three.”

She added: “And I want to know your thoughts, good and bad.”

The 34-year-old then addressed her longtime Big Bang Theory fans, stating: “You know I appreciate you Big Bang Theory fans who maybe really loved Penny for so long and find it hard to turn that off, and look at me in a different way, and follow me down this path.

“I know that can be really hard, so I appreciate the people that took the chance and even maybe if you were unsure, are going to take this flight with me and check out the new show. I really do appreciate that and I think you’re gonna like it.”

Cuoco signed off by thanking everyone involved in the production and exclaiming that she’s “excited to see it fly from here”.

The Flight Attendant follows the mystery of a woman (Cuoco) who wakes up in her hotel room in Dubai to find a dead body lying next to her.

With no memory of the previous night’s events, she continues her morning as if nothing happened – but begins to wonder whether she was the one who committed the act.

The series airs today (26 November), marking Cuoco's first TV role since The Big Bang Theory ended in 2019.
