Yahoo Finance Kate Beckinsale Seriously Hurt Herself Putting On Leggings And Was Hospitalised
Kate Beckinsale went on The Late Late Show With James Corden. During the interview, she opened up about how she seriously injured herself while she was putting on leggings.
“Having done eight or 900 action movies, I hurt myself putting on a pair of leggings in my hotel room,” the 48-year-old Jolt actress said.
Apparently, the injury was so bad that Kate had to be admitted to the hospital.
Kate Beckinsale regularly does things that put her at risk of getting injured—like doing her own stunts in action movies and working out hard at the gym. But the 48-year-old actress just revealed that she definitely hurt herself doing something most people do without issues: Putting on her leggings. Yep, seriously!
Kate opened up about her recent injury on Monday’s episode of The Late Late Show With James Corden, giving us all the (surprisingly) intense details. According to Kate, it all took place while she was filming the movie Prisoner's Daughter in Las Vegas.
"Having done eight or 900 action movies, I hurt myself putting on a pair of leggings in my hotel room," she shared. "I was in my hotel room putting on a pair of leggings, and it felt like a sort of guitar string snapped and everything was horrible. I mean, worse than having a baby bad, like bad. I couldn't walk, I couldn't lie down, I couldn't sit down. I couldn't do anything."
The pain was so bad that Kate said she had trouble leaving her hotel room and traveling to the hospital because she wasn’t able to move, sit, or stand. "Eventually an ambulance came and they sort of rolled out a sheet and picked me up in it like a sort of sausage, and put me on a gurney," she said.
Kate said she was “given a lot of drugs” at the hospital, which made her realize “what kind of drunk I am.” (She doesn't drink.)
“I’m not a ‘Do you know who I am? Have you seen all my films?’ type, which is a huge relief because I’m really glad I’m not,” she said. “But I am a ‘Everybody’s trying to steal my fucking ovaries.’”
Thankfully, she’s OK now.
Kate didn’t reveal what, exactly, she injured, but she did share a hospital selfie last month on Instagram, where she simply wrote: “Feeling a lot better. Thank you so much for your kind messages and love x.”
It seems like Kate hasn’t been traumatised by her leggings incident: She’s posted pics and video on Instagram since of herself wearing different skintight pairs, like this one:
