Katie Price has been questioned by police over accusations she broke lockdown rules to go on a romantic Valentine's Day getaway.

The 42-year-old reality star is alleged to have driven 180 miles from Essex to Shropshire to share an intimate night in a log cabin with boyfriend Carl Woods on Sunday - the eve of his 32nd birthday.

Price and Woods were reportedly seen driving away from luxury cottages at Henlle Hall – an estimated five-hour trip from their home – in Woods' white BMW on Monday.

A clip on Price's Instagram Stories shows them driving in the car together on Monday morning, as the mother-of-five asked Woods how it feels to be in a relationship with a woman 10 years older than him.

Henlle Hall is the same accommodation Price and Woods visited at Christmas time with her children Harvey, 18, seven-year-old Jett and six-year-old Bunny.

A spokesperson for Price said: "Shropshire Police have confirmed they are satisfied after questioning that both Miss Price and Carl Woods were there for legitimate business purposes. No fines were issued."

Under the current national lockdown in England people are asked to stay at home and only leave if they have a "reasonable excuse", such as essential shopping, local daily exercise or to seek medical help.

Price had told The Sun that Woods has surprised her on Valentine's Day with a wood cabin filled with roses in his back garden.

She said: "I never expected all of this. There's a cabin in the garden and the decorations are unbelievable.

"So much thought has gone into it and he didn't get anything for free - he designed and paid for it all himself."

Price has previously complained she has been visited by police over accusations of lockdown rule-breaking "more times than we've had hot dinners."

She said: "People keep saying... because you know when they see Instagram and stuff, YouTube, stuff we filmed stuff ages ago and we put it on... people say there's people in the house...

"There are obviously neighbours or something that have got it in for me."
