Kazakhstan says aims to "peacefully resolve" Karachaganak dispute

ASTANA, April 7 (Reuters) - Kazakhstan and global oil majors developing Karachaganak gas condensate field aim to "peacefully resolve" their dispute on calculations related to production sharing agreement, Kazakhstan's Energy Ministry said on Thursday.

Russia's Lukoil (Other OTC: LUKOF - news) , a consortium member, said this week that Kazakhstan has filed a $1.6 billion claim against the group led by BG Group Plc and Eni SpA (LSE: 0N9S.L - news) . (Reporting by Raushan Nurshayeva; Writing by Olzhas Auyezov; editing by Katya Golubkova)
