Yahoo Finance Ken Dolls Get an ‘I Am Kenough’ Hoodie — Just Like in The ‘Barbie’ Movie
Following the blockbuster release of the “Barbie” movie, Mattel is debuting a Ken doll inspired by Ryan Gosling — complete with an “I Am Kenough” tie-dye hoodie.
The “Kenough” doll is made-to-order and it comes dressed in the “I Am Kenough” hoodie seen in the film. The doll’s face is sculpted in Gosling’s likeness, and wears a black headband with a pink lighting design, along with a horse charm necklace.

Designed by Linda Kyaw, the “Kenough” doll signifies the self-realization Gosling’s Ken character reached in the film when he noticed he is not “enough” for Barbieland, but rather “Kenough.”
In July, Mattel Creations further capitalized on Ken’s virality by releasing a tie-dye “I Am Kenough” hoodie, which marks the company’s most successful drop to date, according to Mattel. The item is still available on the Mattel Creations official website.
Since the July release in theaters, the “Barbie” movie has broken major records. Directed by filmmaker Greta Gerwig, the project is marked as the highest-grossing film of 2023, with more than $1 billion in global box office ticket sales. Along with Gosling, the cast members included Margot Robbie, Issa Rae, Due Lipa, Simu Liu and more.
While Margot Robbie’s Barbie may have set off the ultra-pink Barbiecore wave, Ryan Gosling’s Ken became popular too — searches for “kenergy,” (which translates to Ken-ery) have more than 505 million views on TikTok.
The “Kenough” doll ($50) from Mattel Creations is currently available for preorder and will ship sometime in October 2024.
