Kim Kardashian's new mink balayage is 100% my Christmas hair inspiration

From Cosmopolitan

Our gal Kim Kardashian has spent 2020 cycling through more hairstyles than a RuPaul green room, going through everything from crimped hair to dip-dye, toe-length braids to Spice Girls hair, snakeskin hair and beyond.

But, though the rest of the world is winding down to the holiday season, it seems Kim K's showing no signs of slowing when it comes to hair switch-ups. Last night she posted a series of Stories instagram, demo-ing her latest collection with KKW Beauty and also to announce that Skims will now be shoppable at net a porter.

Makeup tutorials and incredible news regarding Skims aside, I couldn't help but notice her hair has morphed into a gorgeous dimmed brunette, with cool, ashy blonde painted into her textured waves.

Though panelling, chunky highlights and a whole host of other bright colour trends have dominated the hair scene lately, it seems balayage is back. I mean, it makes sense - it's basically the blue jeans of hair colouring techniques: super low maintenance and goes with everything. And if anyone's got the power to bring back the look, it's Kim.

Less expected though, is the mink shade. Kim usually opts for warmer shades like caramel, honey or bright blonde. This ashier look is a definite departure - but still suits her so much.

She paired the hair with slightly bolder brows than usual and two-tone, overlined 90s lips, plus a mesh red top which warmed up the whole look gorgeously. Anyone else obsessed and immediately in the mood to go mink?

Please, dear god, let it be safe enough to open salons soon.
