Shereen Pimentel first hit the big stage during her Broadway debut at the age of 9 in The Lion King. At 20 years old, Pimentel landed the iconic role of Maria in the Broadway revival of West Side Story. The Afro-Latina actress graduated from Juilliard in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance. Back in March, Pimentel told In The Know, “I like to encourage people to just continue trying. You throw stuff at a wall and just see what sticks. Keep throwing at the wall — at some point, it really will stick.”
