Singer Lady Gaga has been through an incredibly tough few days, after her two beloved dogs, Koji and Gustav, were stolen during a terrifying armed robbery in Hollywood, which resulted in her dog walker, Ryan Fischer, being shot by thieves. The A Star Is Born actress shared an emotional Instagram post about the incident, offering a cash reward of $500,000 for their safe return and thanking Ryan for "fighting for" her family.

However, a new report from the BBC this morning says that the French bulldogs have now been recovered and returned to Lady Gaga's team (they identified the dogs as she is currently in Rome shooting a new Ridley Scott film, Gucci). Ryan, thankfully, is also expected to make a full recovery.

His family told Rolling Stone: "Ryan is receiving extraordinary care in the hospital right now and his doctors expect him to make a full recovery. We cannot possibly say enough to thank all of the first responders, nurses and doctors who have worked so tirelessly."

In Lady Gaga's post, which included several photos of her pets, she wrote, "My beloved dogs Koji and Gustav were taken in Hollywood two nights ago. My heart is sick and I am praying my family will be whole again with an act of kindness. I will pay $500,000 for their safe return. Email KojiandGustav@gmail.com to contact us. Or, if you bought or found them unknowingly, the reward is the same. I continue to love you Ryan Fischer, you risked your life to fight for our family. You’re forever a hero."

The latest reports say the dogs were handed in by a woman, who is not believed to be connected to the robbery in any way, at the Olympic Community Police Station in Los Angeles.

In their statement, Ryan's family also paid tribute to Lady Gaga for the support she has shown throughout the awful experience. "Of course, we also want to thank Lady Gaga who has shown nothing but non-stop love and concern for Ryan and our family right from the outset," they said. "Ryan loves Gustavo and Koji as much as Lady Gaga does; so we join in her plea for their safe return."

In a statement describing the robbery in more detail, the LAPD said, "The suspects approached the victim in a white Nissan Altima four door. Two suspects exited the vehicle and demanded the victim turn over the dogs at gunpoint. The victim struggled with the suspects and was shot once by one of the suspects. The suspects took two of the three dogs [he was walking] and fled the scene in the suspect vehicle."

It is unclear whether or not the dogs were specifically targeted because they belong to a celebrity.

We're wishing Ryan a full and speedy recovery.
