Laura Ashley launches new Mamas & Papas collection
When it comes to British brands in homeware and parenting, there's likely two household names that spring to the forefront of your mind – Laura Ashley and Mamas & Papas.
Both are such stalwarts in their respective industries, that we're now wondering why this collaboration hasn't happened sooner. But we're glad it's here now, along with all the new and expecting parents out there.
With touches of Laura Ashley's signature whimsically floral prints that ooze country house chic, along with Mamas & Papa's built-to-last, classic designs the collaboration is sure to be a match made in heaven.
For those planning a neutral nursery and baby paraphernalia theme, this will be the perfect choice as the range has been designed with muted tones in mind in shades of cream, grey, pea green, dusky rose, taupe and sage green – the perfect country palette.
The clothing range is priced at £12-£35, toys at £10-£109, interiors product at £29-£89 and the travel range at £39-£949.
The range includes 49 pieces, and everything has the interiors brand's vintage and traditional feel to it, but has been reimagined to appeal to modern parents too.
Featuring all the essentials from clothing (ages 0-2), baby room necessities such as knitted blankets, a mobile, soft toys and clever buggy and carry travel systems. Plus there's items that are perfect for gifting, such as a cute decorative pillow which would be perfect in a rocking chair, as well as those bigger items which are aimed at new parents too.
Some of our favourite items include the adorable soft teddy rattle, which is just £10 and would be a great baby shower gift. While the two blankets are real keep-sake items, and priced between £35 and £89, that will be endlessly versatile. The dusky pink knitted blanket is a premium gift which can be used from birth everywhere from a Moses basket to the cot and pram.
While the timeless green, cream and yellow quilted blanket looks like a family heirloom, and will no doubt become one.
The travel range features two of Mamas & Papas best-selling travel systems – Airo and Ocarro, which have been given the Laura Ashley touch with vintage prints in dark sage green with plenty of quilting.
The sought-after collaboration is just one of a few ways Laura Ashley's marking its 70th anniversary, too.
